How LIAISON PLEX^® Gastrointestinal Flex Assay works

LIAISON PLEX^® Gastrointestinal Flex Assay is a flexible, sample-to-answer, multiplexed in vitro diagnostic test for the detection and identification of gastrointestinal disease-causing bacteria, viruses, and parasites from patient samples, all in one self-contained cartridge.

Prepare and transfer sample

Mix the sample in the Stool Preparation Buffer. Transfer sample to cartridge.

Scan

Scan the Sample ID and the Cartridge ID. Select only the targets you’d like to test.

Load and run

Load the cartridge and initiate the Run.

Indications for LIAISON PLEX^® Gastrointestinal Flex use

Assay and system

An automated, multiplex PCR assay run on the LIAISON PLEX^® System to detect up to 11 bacterial, 5 viral, and 8 parasitic pathogens from liquid or soft stool preserved in Cary-Blair, modified Cary-Blair medium, or alcohol-based formalin-free parasite fixative (parasites only).
