The compact and intuitive design of LIAISON NES® is optimized for near-patient testing in point-of-care and decentralized settings, including outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, physician offices, and emergency rooms. The LIAISON NES® FLU A/B, RSV & COVID-19 Assay and LIAISON NES® Group A Strep Assay use real-time RT-PCR technology with disposable cartridges to detect respiratory pathogens from dry nasal and disposable throat swabs respectively. The system automates sample extraction, amplification, and detection, providing accurate results within minutes.
Results for the LIAISON NES® FLU A/B, RSV & COVID-19 assay are available in approximately 15 minutes.
Results for the LIAISON NES® Group A Strep assay are available in approximately 18 minutes, but as early as 13 minutes, as the test terminates early once a positive result is detected.

No. Each cartridge is single-use only, and a prepared sample cannot be reprocessed. If a test must be repeated, a new patient sample must be collected, prepared, and loaded into a new cartridge.
